Night/Weekend Supervisor

Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for managing the comprehensive maintenance operation of the Fogerty Arena. This position is also responsible for assisting the Executive Director and Director of Hockey Operation with the operations and activity programming including supervising, directing, and managing all programs and services the facility provided by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Cleans and maintains city facilities; sweeps and vacuums floors; maintains walls, tables, and chairs; empties waste baskets and disposes materials.
•  Performs light maintenance and monitors equipment.
•  Operates the Zamboni and other hand-operated equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a quality ice sheet for user groups at all times.
• Monitors behavior and safety on and off the ice sheet.
• Respond promptly to injuries or other incidents.
• Ensure ice rentals remain as scheduled.
• Responsible for opening and closing of Fogerty Arena.
• Visible and attentive for guests within the facility for events and ice rentals.
• Follow established safety protocols.
• Assist with event and game operations.
• Responsible for clearing snow during shifts.
• Sharpen skates for customers.

• Ability to operate ice resurfacer and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Previous experience working with the public.

Salary

• $17.00-$22.00 per hour depending upon qualifications
